Your View: Letters to the Editor – Working Together

Las Cruces Sun-News
4/1/2012

Doña Ana County has tremendous opportunities in the near term to both secure our environment and historic resources, as well as create good jobs and economic development. These two mutually beneficial goals are represented in 2012 with the unique opportunities to establish both an Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument and a premier technology test and evaluation center in Doña Ana County.

As leaders in the grassroots coalition to establish the Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument, we are proud to stand in support of the proposed Pegasus testing center in Doña Ana County. Working together, these two endeavors can compliment one another and help create needed jobs and work jointly to protect key natural and historic resources in the region.

We encourage Pegasus to locate its testing center in Doña Ana County, and look forward to working in partnership with them to accomplish our mutual goals.
